‘Gas Holder’ ‘Wastland’ ‘Rail track’ ‘Urban reflections’ series

I am a Polish born artist living and working in the UK. My art is heavily influenced by the post-industrial landscape, brutalist architecture and urban wastelands I was surrounded by when growing up in Poland (Silesia) in the 90’s. There is a strange feeling of menacing beauty and anticipation about these places, suspended between their past and an unknown future that fascinates me. I am interested in the visual remembering of experiences that on reflection appear to have been moving, dramatic and poetic. In my art practice I combine photography, digital manipulation and traditional printmaking techniques like etching, collograph and screen printing. Recently, I started experimenting with 3D forms and using light boxes to display prints. I am always open to collaboration with other artists and enjoy participating in community art projects.
